Mark Franklin outbid me for this pipe on an eBay auction. I contacted him and asked if he would consider trading one of my duplicate pipes for it and he agreed; as much as a favor to me to enhance my collection as anything else. He drove a hard bargain, though, and got two Ebony Pots to smoke, one of which was pretty battered, and a California Style Billiard to admire. Even so, I have this nearly pristine pipe and another cell on the Table of Colors and Shapes of the pipe filled. We both won.
