I regularly ask for help with my collection in the North American Society of Pipe Collectors Newsletter. Edward Dax saw my squib and remembered his having this pipe somewhere. He called me and asked if I would be interested. I told him that I would be happy to pay him for it. He sent it to me saying, "give me what it's worth." After using the Valuing the pipe page I gave him what I thought was a fair price. At first glance this seems to be just like Pipe 097 but this one is a bit darker. I'm really happy to have kept it now that it has been designated Federal Gold! A nice addition to the collection. Thank you, Ed.
