I noticed this pipe in a large lot offered on eBay. It was described as grey, so at the end of the auction I wrote the winner to offer to buy it. Barbara Moyerman was quite gracious and sold it to me. When I got it, it wasn't grey but the more common Oyster White. Even so, I am going to keep this one as a smoker because the other one I have is in such great shape that I have been unwilling to light a match to it. My collecting buddy, Rick Osborn, and I were corresponding when he mentioned that he really needed an Oyster White Apple to fill in his collection, so I traded it to him for a Raspberry Apple.
