Jeff Goswick found this web site and wrote to offer me two pipes. He was quite reasonable in his price and his description indicated that they might be better examples than the ones in the collection. The bent is indeed better, so I will keep the former example to smoke. Eventually I acquired new-in-the-box examples of this shape/color and this one now resides on the Pipes for Sale page.
