Richard Brown (rlynnbrown) offered this pipe on eBay. The price was quite cheap and I have a weakness for the Author shape and the red color so I bid and, much to my surprise, won the auction. It turns out that this one has a replacement mouthpiece that was not properly shaped (too straight) and has been chewed on some. The finish, though is almost perfect, just a few very small "chigger bites" at the rim. It's strange how the liner appears to be almost unused while the mouthpiece has so much damage. Anyway, I'm putting this one my Pipes for Trade page to smoke until a good offer comes along.
