Mark Gradberg, a highly regarded pipe carver whose work you can see on his web site, had this pipe for a very long time. For the last two or three years, every time I saw him at a pipe show he mentioned it and we would discuss how it wasn't doing him any good and I should have it. But we both kept forgetting about it between meetings. Finally we got our acts together, synchronized our schedules, and made a deal at the 2005 NASPC show in Columbus, Ohio. It is a valuable addition to my collection.
